God and Science

Every class I have ever taught differs significantly from all others, even those in my university classes.

Therefore, each class has subtle differences in the manner in which the subject needs to be taught.

This particular class which I taught as an adjunct professor at Azusa Pacific University. They were unique in that almost every student was excellent in “book learning,” but lacked quite vividly in how to work within the confines of a groups.

It seemed to me they could benefit from a common goal as a class but one in which smaller groups were forced to collaborate with other groups. Not only that, the project needed to be something quite obvious if a single group didn’t do their job.

Thus was born the idea of writing an eBook to be self-published on Amazon, hopefully to have the potential to be observed by the world.

After some discussion, the idea of writing a book illustrating ways in which the concept of God can be illustrated in science or scientists.

Allowing the students to choose their own groups and select from the various tasks needed (cover, research, publication, actual content, etc.) portions of each class were devoted to the project  over the next several weeks.

A grade equivalent to an A on an exam was given each student upon successful publication of the project.

All the profits from the sale of this book will be given to the general scholarship fund of APU.
